Meet Your Therapist
I’m Rachel Lorenzo-Ramirez, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing virtual therapy to women across New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.
I work with high-functioning women who are used to holding everything together—but are reaching a point where it no longer feels sustainable. On the outside, things may look stable or even successful, but internally it can feel overwhelming, mentally exhausting, or difficult to slow your thoughts down.
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling like they “should” be able to handle things on their own, yet find themselves stuck in cycles of overthinking, self-doubt, or emotional burnout.
If you’ve been used to figuring things out on your own, it can feel unfamiliar to slow down and actually look at what’s going on underneath.
My work focuses on anxiety, perfectionism, trauma, and perinatal mental health. I support women navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and major life transitions, as well as those managing long-standing patterns of stress, burnout, and emotional overload.
My approach is structured, thoughtful, and gently challenging. I focus on helping you understand the patterns beneath what you’re experiencing while also building practical ways to feel more steady, clear, and grounded in your day-to-day life. I don’t believe in surface-level coping alone—we focus on understanding what’s driving these patterns so change actually lasts.
I integrate EMDR therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support both deeper processing and practical, day-to-day change. My work is trauma-informed and grounded in your lived experience.
Clients often choose to work with me when they’re looking for therapy that goes beyond just talking and want a more structured, insight-driven approach.
Many of the women I work with are used to being the reliable one—the one others depend on, the one who keeps things moving. Over time, that role can come at a cost. Therapy becomes a space where you don’t have to hold everything together, and where we can begin to understand what’s underneath the pressure to keep going.
I provide virtual therapy for women experiencing anxiety, perfectionism, trauma, and perinatal mental health concerns across New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.
